Learning Beyond the Classroom
Senior Projects give you the chance to step outside the traditional school day and dive into real-world experiences that match your interests—or spark new ones. Over the course of two weeks, you’ll explore a passion, try out a potential career path, or take on something completely new.
Your project might involve:
-
Volunteering with a nonprofit focused on culture, politics, or the environment
-
Gaining hands-on experience as a teacher’s aide, lab assistant, or in another apprentice-style role
-
Diving deep into an independent academic study
With support from both on- and off-campus mentors, you’ll be encouraged to take risks, reflect deeply, and stretch your thinking. Many students walk away with new insights, fresh career ideas, or even job offers.
At the end of the experience, you’ll present what you’ve learned to peers, faculty, and family in Spaulding Theatre, and submit a final reflection paper capturing your journey.
