Robyn Gottesdiener

Robyn Gottesdiener is the principal of Sand Point Productions, which has produced and/or invested in: Ain’t Too Proud, Kimberly Akimbo, Mean Girls, A Walk on The Moon and Tony Award winner A Strange Loop. Robyn’s next project is a collaboration with Pulitzer-winning journalist Ron Suskind, to produce a musical based on his first book, A Hope in the Unseen.
 
Prior to her musical theater career, Robyn was director of communications for Hartford Public Schools, working with the superintendent of an urban school district to form relationships with divergent constituent groups and improve a historically underperforming school district. She was manager of state and federal government affairs communications for The Hartford Financial Services Group, and she was a speechwriter, press liaison, and deputy director of communications for Connecticut State Treasurer Denise Nappier.
 
Robyn, her husband, Larry, and son Asher ’26 have lived in Santa Barbara for eight years. Robyn has been involved in fundraising for Storyteller Children’s Center and is a member of the Leadership Circle for UCSB Arts and Lectures. Outside of Santa Barbara, the Gottesdieners are majority owners for the Atlanta Dream and major supporters of HomeStart Boston.
