Fourth grade students recently organized a Citizenship Breakfast on campus to learn more about their local community and what it takes to be a good citizen. As a part of this unit, each student chose a special guest from the community and conducted interviews to learn about their profession and how it positively impacts the community.
The students then crafted brief speeches to introduce and honor their guests at the breakfast. Among the participants were news anchor John Palminteri, former Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider, and longtime pediatrician Dr. Saida Hamdani. These esteemed guests served as positive role models for the students, inspiring them to strive for excellence as they continue to grow and learn.
We are grateful to our guests for their participation and for the positive impact they made on our students.
