Celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month
A great way to celebrate and acknowledge Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month is by reading literature with Hispanic and Latin American representation and learning about some notable people with either heritage. Hispanic is a term used to describe someone with Spanish heritage, and Latin American is about your connection to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Not all people who are from Latin America have Spanish heritage.
Below are books that have been added to our libraries in honor of this month. We hope you can check them out from our school libraries. Diversifying our literature is important when we are learning about the world we live in, where we come from, and the different people and cultures we will interact with.
