Introducing Laguna's New Head of Lower School Brooke Green and Head of Upper School Anna Alldredge

Congratulations to Third Grade Teacher Brooke Green '97 and Interim Head of Lower School Anna Alldredge, two valued and enthusiastic members of our faculty and administration who will take on the following positions at Laguna Blanca School beginning July 1, 2023. These appointments are a testament to their expertise, heart, and commitment to our school community.

 

Brooke has served as our Third Grade Instructor since 2013. After receiving her B.A. from UC San Diego and her teaching credential from Antioch University, she pursued her Master’s in Education from the University of San Diego with a specialization in Special Education and Universal Design for Learning. As a 1997 alumna of Laguna Blanca School, Brooke brings a deep understanding of our school culture and a passion for helping students engage in learning with confidence and problem-solving skills.

 

Brooke aims to model loyalty, transparency, empathy, and compassion as a leader. “Being the Head of Lower School is about more than classroom curriculum and building on the teacher and student relationships. It is also about building relationships throughout the Laguna community to ensure continuity across all three divisions.”

 

Through a combination of her willingness to serve the needs of the school and her capacity for leadership, Anna has worn a variety of hats at Laguna: English and History Instructor, English Department Chair, Middle School Advisory Coordinator, TEDx Faculty Guide, Curriculum Coordinator, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Interim Head of Lower School. Anna has a passion for launching collaborative programs and fostering connected learning communities. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University and is completing her Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt this year.

Laguna’s vibrant and thriving Upper School stands at a moment of strong momentum and great potential, and I am eager to listen to and learn from our Upper School community as we look ahead together.”
