Four Student-Athletes Commit to College Competition

Laguna proudly hosted its annual celebratory signing event to honor four members of the Class of 2025 who have been offered—and have accepted—the opportunity to compete in college athletics.

Owl football standouts Carson Stewart and Sam Narva committed early decision to play at the Division III level. Carson will join the roster at Middlebury College in Vermont, while Sam will head to Pennsylvania to compete for Franklin & Marshall College. This announcement came just one day after both athletes were named All-CIF Southern Section honorees in 8-Person Division 2 football.

From the Laguna girls’ side, two athletes have earned the incredible opportunity to walk on at the Division I level. Girls tennis team captain Caroline Kenny received an invitation from the Loyola Marymount University coaching staff to join the Lions’ roster. Caroline is bound for Los Angeles following her Early Action commitment to LMU. Meanwhile, Tri-Valley League Player of the Year Luz Schubert was officially offered a spot on the Tulane University golf team. Luz committed to Tulane via Early Decision in December, with the offer to compete coming shortly thereafter.

Congratulations to these talented student-athletes on their remarkable achievements and exciting journeys ahead!
